20 and 21 are sappy throwaways. Why Did You Leave Me and Can’t Say Goodbye. Whatever.
I am now more convinced than ever that I need a GUY reunion album. And if TR isn’t producing on MJ’s NEW album, a crime will have been committed.
It’s dope.
It bangs.
That’s it!
After the break…
“I’m a pop enigma. I live and breathe every element in life. I rock a bespoke suit and I go to Harold’s for fried chicken. It’s all these things at once, because, as a tastemaker, I find the best of everything. There’s certain things that black people are the best at and certain things that white people are the best at. Whatever we as black people are the best at, I’m a go get that. Like, on Christmas I don’t want any food that tastes white. And when I go to purchase a house, I don’t want my credit to look black.”
Now you know, niggaz got all sensitive in the comment section. But here’s a funny ass one:
Get over it…His opinion…You just make sure you can get a loan when you go to the bank…Cause if not, he is talking about you! LOL
Word!
There has been a lot of drama this year surrounding HIPHOP. That shit we love. Is it a negative influence on our youth? On women? On society as a whole? Is it the cliche ‘reflection of society’, as it already exists?
Will I be cliche and say that maybe HIPHOP has become a combination of all those things? **existential is my forte**
Art, after all, is open to interpretation. Good, bad, indifferent, no matter what an artist’s intentions are the individual is free to interpret their own meaning from the work. (Hey Pepa swears she thought ‘Push It’ was about DANCING!! /sarcasm)
Given all that, the point at which ‘art’ and ‘reality’ diverge is in the everyday actions we as free thinking individuals make. Choice.

Joe Budden - Star Inside of Me
Joe can’t make ‘hit’ songs???
courtesy of that nigga.
Lots-o-shit over there for ya’ll to check out.
Oh, and Nas is comparing himself to Cornell West. **why lawd, why**
Apparently Nas IS attempting to call his album ‘Nigga’. (maybe even Nigger??)
**UPDATE**
I do believe I’m going to work on a longer piece discussing this ‘issue’… and the whole State-o-HIPHOP .
My turn, niggaz.
eskay on Tribe:
I didn’t watch the show last night, so I missed where Tip said that the inspiration for Low End Theory was N.W.A.’s Straight Outta Compton. But he reiterated that point to Info today:
“…it was listening to NWA’s “Straight Outta Compton” that inspired us to make “Low-End Theory,” and years later, I spoke to Dr. Dre and he told me that hearing “Low-End Theory,” inspired him to make “The Chronic.”
I just have to say, wow, that is crazy. I had no idea that SOC was such a huge influnce on Tribe. Those two albums are directly responsible for making me into the rabid hip-hop fan that I am today. Just this past weekend I spoke on how I was more into the hardcore N.W.A. type of shit until Tribe hit, so it’s beyond ill to hear about that connection nearly 20 years later.
So Eskay d-rided the SOC Impala and then jumped in to his African medallion and Chancletas and Ghostrode the LET bucket ride
**DEAD**
Muahahahahah!
