Simply because the media deliberately took what the reverend said out of context.
From what I saw on Dateline they cut straight to certain specific comments and never gave the audience the true context around which those comments were made. I felt rather than explain the context of what the reverend was getting at. He disassociated himself from them for the sake of making sure it wouldn’t affect his campaign.
The comments I saw gave me the impression that the reverend was trying to state that Hilary and white people can’t relate or identify with the black mans struggle in america. But the media tried to paint the reverend as some ignorant racist that’s playing the race card to get votes for Obama.
I feel he could’ve handled that differently. Like you may be my pastor but Im going to disassociate myself from any sht that’s gonna hurt my campaign. Thats the impression I got

The Artest trade would have been a good one because Artest would have fallen in line. He can still avg exactly what he avg now on that Denver team. they aren’t gonna go anywhere with the way they play defense. Karl has to go. How do you give up 136 points to Detroit ?

klieza is a good player but Denver is soft and Artest would have bought a much needed edge. Artest AI and Kmart would have brought some type of fear to anyteam. It might have been a gamble but they don’t have shot to make the playoff with the way they play defense. If the rest of the west wouldn’t have upgraded, than I wouldn’t cosign an Artest trade but once the rest of them re-upped, Denver had to do something and they didn’t and now they all will be watching just like me. Artest would have found his shots in the offense and he would have made a huge difference on their defense

I know Detroit is good but they haven’t scored that many points in 18 years !!!! I am not saying that Denver should have beaten them but Detroit is far from an offensive juggernaut to be scoring 138 points.
If Detroit is scoring 138, the rest of the west should avg about 145 on these niggas.

If Gerald Wallace can play PF than Artest would have no issue. I think they had more of an issue with his craziness than his calls for the ball. One thing about Artest is that he doesn’t say too much when he is winning. But don’t let that nigga start losing games.
Thats a killer starting lineup.
Artest hasn’t said a word about the shots he gets in Sactown and he was the 3rd option behind Kevin Martin and Bibby. He had issues with the slowdown offense in Indy. I think it would be worth the gamble because the nigga only makes 7million a year and he is the best defensive player in the league. Once again, Denver NEEDS a player like that right now. Shaq was looked at as a bad fit for PHX but they NEED a player like that.

I think moving Melo to the 4 makes more sense

Who do you think Artest guards ? He can guard all four position. He outweigh all those guys up above. He is an easy 260. No matter waht, he is better than anything they have on that team defensively. I admit there might be chemistry issues with Artest but dude gets it done on the court always.
