A couple of days ago I had this conversation with two 40 plus year old women. Now while it was a very insightful conversation, In these two ladies effort to “School” me The didn’t really know how..Ahem… Stupid they ended up looking. Now one of the ladies was married and she has a pretty ok life…Husband is good to her they have a home and they have two kids. But I guess she feels bored in her relationship so she was saying that she was gonna go out and find “somebody” to have fun with… Not knowing that I already knew that she has been having phone conversations with a dude in her past (It’s a shame what other women will tell you when they want to look better in your eyes) Of course me being inquisitive ask… “Whats up with that” She goes into this entire spill about how she has her security and now she wants some fun. Of course I get what this lady is saying but I asked her to elaborate just to see how further down stupid street we were gonna go.

She explains to me that…Women should make sure they get that husband that can bring home enough money to have them live comfortably an so they can afford the things that they “WANT” an live the way they “Want” as well… All the attraction and sex really don’t matter cause its about business. An when those needs are met you should fine somebody on the side to fulfill those desires that you have that are missing from the married.. I.e. somebody to blow the back out since its not getting done the way you want in the first place.

Now ladies even though I truly believe Im the best thing to happen to women since the silver bullet (I had to say that).. Shit like this really turns me off from ever thinking about getting hitched again. I don’t want to be look at like a damn business plan. And what ever happen to a sister getting her own and getting with a guy cause she just digs him and he digs her. An the messed up part about this is women like these have daughters and tell them the same fked up crap to further push this bullshit agenda. There is a reason why this chick is bored in her relationship because she was bored in the beginning. She got the security…And tell here what she’s won bob… BOREDOM. Congrates…Thanks for playing. And you are won of the many to get the home version of “What kind of stupid shit is this.”

So Im unemployed, broke, just had to cut off my regular ‘contractor’, this is the first full week in a month that I havent been sick with something, and I aint jumped out a window yet.

To be honest, Im quite content.  Yes, I have had a bad day or two in the last two weeks since shit went to hell on a Harley, but for the most part, Im great.  I usually hate Valentines Day (for some of the reasons CJP stated yesterday and many more) but yesterday was one of the good ones.  It wasnt good because I got stuff (though I did LOL) but because the best gift I received was one I gave to myself.

I went to my cousin’s wedding, then came home and lit every candle in the house, drank some wine, listened to the quiet storm and reflected on a lotta shit that I should have been taken a look at a long time ago.  Not in terms of things needing correcting but more things that needed understanding.  At the end of it, I felt a thousand pounds lighter.  And the Peabo Bryson four play didnt hurt either LOL.

I just think people spend too much time and energy feeling sorry for themselves.  On Valentines Day or any other day, your circumstances are only as bad as you make em.  I gotta be in the worst position of anyone I know right now, but probably complain the least.  Life is too short to be stressing about dumb shit and worrying about things outside of your control.  If I aint shot up a highway by now with the last two months I’ve been through, NOBODY should be.  So since nobody had a blog up today, I figured I would just kick some of you in the ass and tell you stop sweating the small stuff.  Be glad you woke up this morning.  Sometimes hard times seem to drag on forever, but keep things in perspective.  They tend to work themselves out.

So today is the dreaded day V Day… Or as some people call it “Who give a damn day”
Ive had some terrific Valentine Days very memorable and Ive also had some bad ones…I heard a lot of people have some uneasy feelings about this day. From people saying it’s a day created just to sell cards, candy and jewelry… To some saying that its like the only day that some guys try to get their shit together and act right (when we all know that they should year around) Ive also had some of those same feelings and denounced the day as well…but this year Im gonna give this Day the respect it deserves. I know a lot of US and I did say US are not in that relationship we would like to be in or maybe by our own choice we are not with someone (and are fine with it)…but that doesn’t mean we have to shit on that one specific day that we celebrate Amore, the Jones, (or as I call it) The execution… That’s right Love. I was at Wal-mart last night and I was seeing Men and Woman… kids and adults out grabbing everything from Flowers to those kid valentine day cards… An it hit me…man its nice to see people celebrate the feelings they have for one another. And yeah I know that we should do that everyday and not just one particular day but damn if its that one day where that housewife finally gets dinner cooked for her and flowers from the man that’s she married…So be it. If its that day that where that girlfriend that always have that shitty attitude lets her guard down and show that extra affection to the guy in her life…So be it. Yeah we could be pessimistic about our Love life and the Day that Celebrates it but whats that gonna do… Absolutely nothing. So for those people in Loving relationships congratulation…. Its your day, bask in the shit. I know its not always easy but its not supposed to be… if it were everybody would do it. So if you are spending this day with that significant other or if you are with that person you just met a few weeks ago have fun and by all means…Celebrate it people.
