It’s ‘hitting the fan’ today since Obama issued his statement ‘disagreeing’ with McClurkin’s personal views on ‘teh gheys’, with part of the debate centering around the ‘purity’ of a candidate. (holding the desired position on ALL issues, no signs of hypocrisy)
Obama defenders say he should get a pass because those are McClurkins (the church’s) views and not his own.
On the flip side, others are saying Obama’s statement isn’t enough. That he should make the point of not providing any legitimacy to those who believe that homosexuality is a ‘choice’.
In the mix of it all is the revelation that Hillary is performing better amongst blacks and in particular black females than Obama, so this ‘Gospel Tour’ is just an attempt by Obama to re-certify his negro-pass.
I’m sure this will continue to evolve during the course of the week, so I’m hesitant to make any predictions at this point. What I will do is answer corrine’s dare:
Obama, it’s willyj. Yeah whut up nigga, um, whuz up wit u and this McClurkin nigga mayne? Man stop fuckin wit the black church homie. It’s them simple niggaz that cost us the 2000 election wit their bullshit. (I’m not discussing the voter fraud right now) Now that we got a nigga runnin for president, here comes the black church again to fuck shit up? Naw nigga WHUT ARE YOU DOING!!!???!!! Who on your campaign staff needs to be fired? You want me to do it? Cuz I’ll do it nigga?

So true but I ain’t buying the pie in the sky. Even though peeps don’t tell you who they vote for I don’t KNOW anyone in my church that voted for Bush. And these are all middle and upper middle class people and we have a gay musician and choir director. Ain’t no way! Everybody else can pander to the Blacks but Obama can’t b/c what? The dude is half black and he will be seen as who - Malcolm X, WEB Dubois, Booker T Washington - hell that is what they ought to be pushing for right there!!!!!
