One thing about Nas is that he always makes sense. Maybe not “book” sense but common sense and common sense is what a lot of these fools lack no matter how many “degrees” they have. His Cornell West comparison was right on point. They would give Cornell the benefit of the doubt and at least hear or read it before making comment but since its “gangsta rapper Nas with a 10th grade education” he can’t make good use of the word because he isn’t smart enough. What these old heads have to understand is NAS has more power than them and they don’t like that. They don’t understand that an opinon can come from another angle.. another angle they know nothing about so they shun and destroy it and pass it off as ignorance. Ignorance is not letting yourself think above what you know. Ignorance is judging a book by its cover. Ignorance is believing everything you hear from and “unnamed source”. The same way you can’t answer a modern question with an outdated answer. We can march until the our shoes wear off but that ain’t gonna stop the nooses and name calling. The more they think it hurts us, the more they will use it. They know those “nooses” hurt us and that why they are poppin up all over the place. Common sense should tell them that but they are counting on their degrees to tell them a better story.

I don’t march because I see it as useless. IT was effective 40 years ago but we have more avenues to get our message out today. Marching give people a false sense that things are gonna be corrected because a few people show up to support and then go back home and forget all about it once “reality” hits and they realize that they have other priorities. We marched on nooses and 20 “nooses” cases come out of nowhere. The nigga they “marched” for is back in jail. And the kid who got the rape charges dropped is still in jail in ATL….
BUT WE WANT TO FREE T.I. ???
Thats why I don’t march….
