Cat On A Hot Tin Spoof

May 24, 2007 Keesha AKA KSH 2 comments

You gotta be kidding me.

Why does the world only think Black America only has two actors - Denzel & Halle?

Why does the world think we only listen to Beyonce or Usher?

I love my Tennessee Williams shit…I was a literary and theatrical fool on high school. I always directed the shiz nit…go figure. So when I heard last year that their was going to be an all Black cast of Cat on A Hot Tin Roof - whit Anthony Mackie (from "She Hate Me" I was like damn damn damn - that is gonna be the shit. Then here comes the bullshit:

NY POST
A Broadway revival of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" with an all-black cast headed by Oscar winner Forest Whitaker as Big Daddy has im ploded - the result, theater sources say, of "inexperienced, inept and insane" producing.

The revival, which was to have opened in the fall, would also have starred Phylicia Rashad (Big Mamma), Audra McDonald (Maggie) and Anthony Mackie (Brick). It was to have been directed by Kenny Leon, who staged the hit production of "A Raisin in the Sun" starring Sean Combs.

But two weeks ago, Leon and Whitaker pulled out of the project after repeatedly clashing with the producers, a group of extremely wealthy hedge-fund managers with no previous theatrical experience.

Whitaker, says a source, was annoyed to learn that the producers, tired of waiting for him to sign his contract, were threatening to replace him with Danny Glover.

Leon, meanwhile, was fuming that the producers were second-guessing his casting. They called McDonald a "regional theater actress" (her four Tony Awards notwithstanding) and were trying to replace her with either Whitney Houston or Beyoncé.

"It was just insane stuff," says a source. "Beyoncé might look good in a slip, but then she has to act. They couldn't grasp that."

Once Leon was out, Rashad, who won the Tony for her performance in "A Raisin in the Sun," and Mackie, a handsome young actor much adored by the critics, quit the production as well, sources say.

"Everybody's glad to be out of it," one person says. "It's a mess."

The producers could not be reached for comment yesterday. But sources say they haven't given up on the revival, and have now turned to choreographer Debbie Allen - Rashad's sister - to direct.

There's no cast yet, but Allen had better get moving. Sources say the producers' option on the play expires at the end of the year, and I hear the Tennessee Williams' estate would like nothing more than for "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" to pass into the hands of experienced producers.

Can we just let some for real talent do this damn thing? Before they fuck it up - I decided to go to the library and check out the Liz Taylor - Paul Newman doohickkey 'Cat On A Hot Tin Roof' for old times sake cause I see they bout to fuck up a classic.

 Thanks a lot white america!

…hold up.

First let me say that if you didnt catch the American Idol finale tonight, you missed a hell of a show.  Im talkin bout Gladys Knight, Smokie Robinson, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Tony Bennett, Doug E Fresh and a couple other folks Im forgettin.  Can you say 'party in my living room????'

All the finalists performed last night (the top 12) along with all the past American Idol winners, with the exception of Fantasia who is too busy playin patty cake with her play-play sister Nettie on Broadway.  I forgot how funky Taylor Hicks was.  They even brought the lil ugly crying girl back to play "I wish I was old enough" with Sanjaya, who jumped all across the stage with Steve Perry from Aerosmith.  Certain subsects of the population had an attitude that he didnt rock out with a lil "Besame muuuuuu-cho" but we just gon pray for those people and keep it moving, LOL.

Anyway, it really was one of those shows you just had to see, so without further ado, Im gonna throw my mic on the floor and scream "Sexual chocolate!" on my exit, as I announce to you, the 2007 winner of American Idol………………… wait for it…………… wait for it……………

Jordin Sparks.

On another note, if ya dont watch American Idol, you probably dont watch "so You Think You Can Dance" but I implore you LOL……  PLEASE watch the audition shows LOL.  The shit is pure comedy.  Season premiere is tomorrow at 8/7 central…. I think, LOL.  I dont know, check your TV Guides, shit LOL.

Now what I do with my cup……..?

As you may or may not know the NBA Lottery was last night

And for those who haven't been payin attention My Boston Celtics have been sucking Ass for a couple years now. This year we sucked on a whole new level of Suckosity! Some say we tanked the end of the season to secure a high draft pick but I went to a few games and we really did suck! Second worst record in the NBA! And we''ve been counting down the days for the Lottery since the season ended.  Im not stupid I knew nothing was guaranteed we've been here before. Trust me everytime the Lotto talk comes up we're reminded about how we got screwed and didn't get Tim Duncan. I even said to folks I'd be cool with the 3rd pick in the draft. Al Horford at number 3 is fine wit me! We've been through enough Danny Ainge is the worst GM in the NBA Next to Mchale and Isiah Thomas who is at least redeeming himself. A man who traded all star Antione Walker Twice and got nothing for him in return, the idiot who traded away Chauncey Billups, Ben Wallace and Muthafking Joe Johnson! The dunce that gave Mark Blount a 50 million dollar contract. The Asshole that bragged about signing Brian Scalabrine for 2.5 mill a yr a man that only plays 2.5 minutes per game that no one wanted and isn't good enough to be the D League. Im 5 ft 10 and I'll bang on Brian Scalabrine. Danny also brought in Wally I have no cartilge in my knees, I suck on defense and I'm overpaid Sczerbiak and got rid of Rick I do everything davis. And then Einstein extends Doc Rivers contract after the worst losing streek in Celtic History and the 2nd worst in NBA history, Fk Danny Ainge. Why Lord why must thou torment thee! Wasn't Lin Bias enough wasn't Reggie Lewis rubbin salt in the wound, wasn't Vin Baker the straw the broke the Camels back WHY WHY WHY!

Now this we got the fuckin 5th pick in the Draft. You mean to tell me not only do we not get Oden or Durant we not going to get Horford either! and the Team Dumbass Danny traded our 1st round draft pick with last yr  so we can get Sebastian the last time I wasn't strapped I got robbed Telfiar whom the Celtics are about to cut gets the number 1 pick and to make matters worse the player Portland drafted with our pick was the fking rookie of the yr! Yeah good job Danny! Now all we have to look forward to is some 3pt shooting seven ftr from china who can't speak english or Joakim Noah who gonna be the next Nba Bust!   Yup Im fkin heated sorry  yall but this sht fking burns. And Fk David Stern yes Im bitter but I still can't grapple this concept. Don't you find it peculiar that Stern made such a big deal about teams tanking their seasons to get a high pick and all the teams with the most pig pong balls did the worst their percentages could do. The 3 worst teams finished 4 5 and 6 picks. No matter how bitter you think I am which I admit can't deny that sounds fishy.

anyway happy whip it out wednesday

Blake vs Jordin - fucken terrible.

Blake sang like 'Squidward Tentacles' (get your Sponge Bob game up) but he got points from the judges on his performance.  Personally, I think ole boy be doing way too much and somebody needs to tell him beatboxing aint been cool since long before JT even did it.  But that being said, ole boy did connect very well with the audience.  I would go so far as to say the first performance of the night almost looked like a paid performance, but he can still miss me with the robotics.

Jordin was very obviously nervous last night but she still blew that lil nigga out the water with the vocals.  Her performance does need a jolt though.  When singing Christina Aguilera's 'Fighter' she seemed a bit stiff.  Mighta helped had she taken the mic off the stand and thrown some 'attitude' at a nigga.  She did her thing though, and the night pretty much boiled down to 'The Performer' vs 'The Singer'.

My vote:  Jordin, all day.  But yall know your next door neighbors be trippin.  So what will America decide?  We'll find out tonight.  Lord help us LOL.

Is he being real or is he flippin it to help promote his businesses

Please Read!

I read this and First I was shocked at how intelligent and thoughtful Master P sounded.  Its his response to gettin smashed by 50 who was asked about censorship and was told Master P has agreed that Hip Hop has gotten out of control. And 50 response was Master P doesn't sell records. Which he doesn't. Percy Miller has responded and Im thinking it sounds Noble and almost Sincere. But at the end he plugs himself. It just makes me wonder does he give a fk at all. Or is this just another opportunity he sees to get his name back into rotation and make a profit. Maybe its me, but the older I get the more I see that people don't care any more, they just pretend for a dollar.  I guess my question is

Do the end justify the means, here's Master P comments tell me what u think

Master P's open letter:

Curtis Jackson's comment motivated me. There are a lot of immature people in the world. Oprah Winfrey is absolutely right, we need to grow up and be responsible for our own actions. I paid for Curtis's first rap tour through the south. He was such a humble guy at the time. Most artists' mission is to sell records. My mission is to help save and change lives. There's a lack of knowledge and false information out there. I could actually say Little Jay and Rap-A-Lot Records inspired my successful career and I will always respect them no matter what. I wrote the blueprint for this generation. The only difference is there's no more honor and respect in the game.

Think about it: people in jail are not writing letters proclaiming to come out and do the same thing that landed them there in the first place. People in the hood don't want to stay poor for the rest of their lives. They want to change. Parents that really love their kids would rather sacrifice their own lives so that their kids could make a change to have a better life and a better education. I'm glad that there are people like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and organizations like the NAACP that are out there fighting for our rights and dignity. I have finally realized that EVERY person is either a part of the problem or part of the solution and that is why I have decided to take a stand! I'm reaching out to corporate America to form an alliance for the sake of putting the value back into our communities by rebuilding and developing schools and businesses.

First of all, it's simply disappointing to see people that are in a position to help make a change just sit back and entertain the negativity. It's sad to see Steven Hill set all of these programming standards at BET, just to contradict himself for the sake of marketing dollars or artist performances in order to create the appearance of a successful award show. The record company with the biggest marketing check controls the music video stations so we need to go after the people who actually control these programming networks if we want real CHANGE.

I guess by taking a stand, my son and I will probably not be invited back to the BET Awards. But it's O.K. I got love for BET; there are a lot of good people there. Hopefully, this will help people to see the real changes that need to be made. My son and I will sacrifice our airtime because this is bigger than us, this issue desperately needed to be addressed a long time ago. There are four things that differentiate me from artists like Curtis Jackson. One, I can honestly admit that I was once part of the problem. Two, I don't want my son to grow up and be like me. I want him to be better and do better - and that is why he is taking the time to pursue a college degree.

Three, money don't make me, I make money. My goal is to educate our people in building generational wealth and knowing how important it is to own real estate.

Four, I'm a TRUE entrepreneur; my boss is God not Jimmy Iovine. From one brother to another, if you misunderstand my purpose you could always pick up the phone or talk to me in person. I'm trying to be part of the solution not the problem. The media thrives on entertaining, especially the negativity no matter what the cost. I'm praying for the brothers that are lost out there.

Throughout the years, I have lost so many relatives and friends. This year, I'd like to focus on the comedy movies because we need to laugh more. The first movie that I'm producing is "Black Supaman" and thereafter will be "The Mail Man" starring Tony Cox and myself. I'm setting up a book tour for "Guaranteed Success" and a Hip Hop Business class with financial expert Curtis Oakes for those seeking knowledge. I understand that I can't change the whole Hip Hop industry; I'm only trying to do my part. If you're real, be a part of the positive movement with Take A Stand Records.com Look for the first single "I Wanna Be Like You" from the album "Hip Hop History." I'm in negotiations with Wal-Mart and Target for direct distribution. Those are all examples of the positive difference I am trying to make in this industry.

I'm reaching out to my friends Shaquille O'Neal, Will Smith, Russell Simmons, Queen Latifah, Derek Anderson, Charles Barkley, Emmitt Smith, Beyonce, and Reverend Run to help contribute to this positive movement. I will also be holding a press conference with the president NAACP and will be able to answer any questions at that time. I am not asking any other hip-hop or gangsta rap artist change what they do; that's how they make their money. Furthermore, I am not a preacher; I'm just telling the world what I'm doing and the changes that I am making because it's something I want to do. If that's sending mixed signals to people then they need to deal with their own conscience first.

What's up people? Today is only Tuesday, but it feels like it should be Thursday or Friday. But hey, that's life.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpwGmCKQ89Y&NR=1

I told y'all back when we used to kick it on SOHH.com that when I was in college, this chick from Atlanta showed me a picture of Lil Scrappy (you know the funny looking rap nigga from Atlanta that's claiming G-Unit) in high school. And I told y'all this nigga had the Sisqo look going on. And niggaz laughed. Thought I was on some joking shit. Well here's a clip of this nigga trying to justify why the fuck he had blonde dye in his head. Shameful. I'm fully convinced this nigga is a faggot.

That new R. Kelly album, Double Up, ain't that bad. Worth a listen at least.

I hope y'all ready for summer time. Summer time means summer beef. And my 1st summer beef is with Dig. Fuck you nigga!

I went to Dallas this weekend just left. It was cool, but I'm too hood for them bougie model parties. Give me some skeezers, 3 blunts, a 24 pack of Trojan Magnums and a bottle of Patron. I'll make everything else happen.

I finally fucked a white chick y'all. (The first time wasn't good, so it don't count)! But nothing different really. White girls just DEMAND that you fuck them in their ass. Oh yeah, they do lil more freaky talk than black girls. Other than that, no big difference.

And I don't wanna jinx nothing, but I might be working with a 'major' rapper in the near future. All I can say is dude is on some real street shit.

Y'all niggaz be easy.
