Ya'll know Arianna Huffington the thick accented woman who goes on TV as a political pundit. You've probably seen her on one of Bill Maher's shows if you happen to watch them.
Anywho…
Arianna has yet another anti-Hillary post up pertaining to a new book by Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta, Jr. called Her Way:The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton. (Jeff Gerth being infamous for his Whitewater reporting, among other things)
That's all well and good, but first I just want to raise a couple of issues:
- Is it 'smart' for 'progressives' to attack Democratic candidates in preference of another Democrat?
- Is it 'smart' for 'progressives' to leverage certain attacks against certain candidates, while giving a pass to others regarding the same issue.
- Is is 'smart' for 'progressives' to rely upon 'unofficial' biographies to gain insight into a politician's 'ambitions', then use that 'insight' to attack that politician.
Back to Arianna's post though.
As you should know, Congress recently voted on a supplemental funding bill, with Obama and Clinton voting against it.
Where's the story in that?
Apparently, Barack was waiting to see how Hillary would vote before he did, except Hillary took too long so he went ahead and voted 'no'. Then after Barack voted, Hillary showed up to vote 'no' as well. **GASP**
Barack attempted to make a calculated vote, but Hillary out-calculated him, Arianna writes a post criticizing Hillary for being 'all tactics and calculation'.
Arianna has a slight problem if she doesn't see the SAME EXACT PROBLEM with Barack, that this new book by Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta, Jr. makes 'clear' with Hillary…supposedly.
Barack isn't 'ambitious' to the point of making a 'calculated' vote in order to enhance his candidacy for the presidency? No?
If Arianna (and others) would simply come out and become full Obama supporters, then maybe I wouldn't have anything to say about all of this. They haven't. Instead 'progressives' (for the most part) are playing the game of Al-Gore-(who isn't even running)-supporters.
So why shit on Hillary, by way of Barack Obama, when the person you really want to vote for is Al Gore, and he's not running.
Al has said numerous times that he isn't running, so why are 'progressives' continuing to evoke his name?
Is Al gaging the public's opinion, and waiting to join the race later? Would that be 'calculating'?
Keep in mind, it was Al Gore who had the opportunity to contest the 2000 election results more vigorously than he did…and hasn't really said boo about voting issues (on a larger scale) since…I'm just sayin.
Am I a Hillary supporter…not actively.
Do I want her to win the nomination, yes.
Why? They only thing white men fear more than black men, are women.
Why not Obama, you're negro right? RIGHT, and I expect MORE from Barack than what he's been offering, BECAUSE he's black…if I want 'moderate' politics…NO, I DON'T WANT MODERATE POLITICS AT ALL. I SEEK CHANGE.
In lieu of a true revolutionary…I'd rather enrage millions of conservative white males with the threat of a sometimes-lesbian-man-killer-liberal woman.
I'm funny that way.
All this Hillary hate seems to be founded in the same disillusionment that can EASILY be applied to ANY of our elected officials if you spent enough time digging into their voting records and political dealings.
If they're ALL corrupt, lets say so, Arianna?

‘Is Al gaging the public’s opinion, and waiting to join the race later? ‘
On the low, I had that same thought about a week ago when they were talkin about it on the Today show.

I think that all that bullshit can bite you in your ass in the end. All that hate against someone of your party affiliation to later ask them to be your running mate - you see that Barack and Hillary are taking it easy - if Hillary gets the vote I am betting she will ask Obama to be her running mate. If Obama gets the nom - I can’t see Hill taking a back seat -
