So really Mike Vick…

Keesha AKA KSH no comments

SMITHFIELD, Va. — Police conducting a drug investigation raided a Virginia house owned by Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick and found dozens of dogs, some injured and emaciated, as well as items associated with dog fighting, authorities said.

State Police Sgt. D.S. Carr said Vick's relative, Davon Boddie, 26, lives in the house. Vick owns the property, but does not live there and was not present when a search warrant was executed in a drug investigation Wednesday night, Carr said.

Boddie was arrested outside a nightclub by Hampton police April 20 on charges of distribution of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute. The search warrant was executed by a multijurisidictional task force in a narcotics probe, Carr said.

"When they had a chance to go to the site, they discovered animal neglect," Surry County Administrator Tyrone Franklin told WAVY-TV in Portsmouth.

More than 60 dogs were found in three buildings. Some appeared malnourished, scarred and injured, officials said.

Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO of the Humane Society of the United States, issued the following statement: "The Humane Society of the United States has heard troubling reports for some time that Michael Vick has been involved in organized dog fighting, and we fear that this investigation may validate that very disturbing allegation."

"We urge law enforcement to aggressively investigate this matter, and we further believe that anyone who harbors dogs for the purpose of fighting, deserves to be fully prosecuted for their crimes,'' Pacelle said. "Dog fighting is a barbaric activity that causes immense animal suffering and fosters violence in our communities. Our nation should have a zero tolerance policy for any form of staged animal fighting."

The Humane Society said dog fighting is illegal nationwide and a felony in 48 states, including both Virginia and Georgia.

Vick refused comment Thursday through a Falcons spokesman, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Joel Segal, the quarterback's agent, and Larry Woodward, a Virginia attorney who has worked with both Vick and his younger brother, Marcus, didn't immediately return telephone messages from The Associated Press seeking comment.

The Surry County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation of the dogs' treatment. The office said the deputy in charge of the investigation was at the scene and unavailable for comment Thursday.

The animal rights group PETA has asked Falcons owner Arthur Blank to suspend Vick pending the investigation and "to kick him off the team if it is found that dogs on Vick's property were neglected or used for fighting."

In a letter to Blank, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said it was the second time it was writing to the owner about one of his players and allegations of cruelty to animals. On Feb. 23, the organization wrote to him about defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux's felony charges in Georgia stemming from the fatal beating of a dog.

The probe at Vick's property is the latest in a serious of embarrassing incidents for the Atlanta quarterback.

He was named in a sordid lawsuit that accused him of knowingly infecting a woman with a sexually transmitted disease and using the alias "Ron Mexico" while seeking treatment. The case was settled out of court.

Last season, Vick flashed an obscene hand gesture to heckling Atlanta fans as he walked off the field following a dismal loss to New Orleans. He was fined $10,000 by the NFL and donated another $10,000 to charity.

In January, security officers at Miami International Airport seized a water bottle from Vick that they said smelled of marijuana and had a hidden compartment. Authorities later said there were no drugs in the bottle, and Vick explained that he used the secret compartment to carry jewelry.

Just this week, Vick came under more criticism when he failed to show for a lobbying appearance on Capitol Hill in support of increased funding for after-school programs. He missed a connecting flight in Atlanta and didn't turn up for a later flight.

Vick and two other former Virginia Tech stars — Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall and former Buffalo Bills defensive end Bruce Smith — are scheduled to join Hokies football coach Frank Beamer and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in a predraft ceremony in New York on Saturday to honor the victims of the recent shooting at the Blacksburg school.

PETA is calling for Vick to be suspended…will it happen?

do another 'Prince Says…' post.

But I'm sure you'd rather hear about blog updates.

  • Pop-up image galleries within posts are back (GreyBox). Not as fancy as before, but still nice. FYI, GreyBox takes an image(s) you include in your post (the ones you have UPLOADED and marked up a certain way), and creates click-able thumbnails of a manageable size within your posts (because niggas upload gigantic pictures). When you click the image, a pop-up windows displays the image in a larger size for better viewing.  When you include an entire directory of images, you can create a gallery with ease. (like the one way back of the booty pictures:thumbup: )

  • Bad Behavior anti-fuckery scripts have been added to cut down on spam and potential abusers (Ya'll don't care).

  • The advanced image manager is enabled within the TinyMCE editor (what most of you post with if you have a java capable web browser).  With it you can specify additional information to markup individual images when not using the GreyBox syntax.  UPLOAD SONGS, IMAGES, CLIPS etc. to the blog. Spare the email.

  • And finally (for now), there is additional member info that appears when someone clicks on your username. In the admin section, you can specify a picture and some additional text to go along with a URL of your choice.  From the member details page, logged in users can send messages to each other, so it's important that you update your settings with the correct email address and website URL (MySpace, 360, etc if you have one).

If you have any questions, get at me.

Prince should have said 'Kick Rocks'…but he's too damn cool for that.

Messing round with Imus's old ass and this crazy MF from VTech - the gas priced keep sneaking up like a mutha…

Who in the hell can live in these conditions? Talking about maxing out the credit card - Damn in the durty the gas is already ridiculous. It damn near takes 60 dollars to fill up  my Toyota Camry…a fucking Camry - that is ludacris!

Watch out: Here comes $4 gasoline

Prices were supposed to peak below $3 a gallon, but refinery problems, strong demand could push them muh higher.

By Steve Hargreaves, CNNMoney.com staff writer

April 26 2007: 5:59 AM EDT

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Gasoline prices, already above $3 a gallon in some states, could charge higher this summer and hit $4 a gallon in some locations, according to one industry expert.

Pump prices were supposed to peak below $3 a gallon this May, then drop off before the summer driving season got into full swing, according to the Energy Department's price forecast.

Well, we're not even out of April yet, and the nationwide average price for a gallon of unleaded regular has hit $2.87.

Well, we're not even out of April yet, and the nationwide average price for a gallon of unleaded regular has hit $2.87.

Behind high gas prices: The refinery crunch

One big factor driving prices: gasoline inventories continue to fall. After a promising one-week boost in refining activity, the latest report Wednesday actually shows refining activity falling. And demand is already soaring, before the summer driving season is in full swing.

What this means for prices is obvious, and to most drivers it is not good news.

"More and more communities are going to see gasoline that approaches or exceeds $4 a gallon," said John Kilduff, an energy analyst at Man Financial in New York. "Where we're currently at with prices, that's a given."

While geopolitical tensions have driven up the cost of crude oil, which accounts for about half the cost of a gallon of gas, refinery problems here in the United States are largely to blame for the price jump.

Five states - California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and Nevada - already have average prices above $3 a gallon, according to the motorist organization AAA. In California, the average price of gas has reached $3.35 a gallon.

Kilduff said it will be in those states, and possibly New England and the northern Midwest, where prices have the best chance of hitting $4 a gallon, mostly as a result of localized refinery problems.

And he thinks prices will have no trouble breaking the old non-inflation-adjusted record of $3.057 a gallon, hit in 2005 just after Hurricane Katrina.

Up, up and …

Retail gas prices have been climbing steadily as one refinery outage after another crimped production and U.S. drivers consumed ever more in spite of rising prices.

By early this week, retail prices had risen 32 percent since the start of the year, according to the Lundberg Survey.

And the Energy Information Administration said Wednesday that gasoline supplies, which have fallen 13 percent since early February, were "well below the lower end of the average range."

Moreover, EIA reported refinery utilization fell, with refineries running at only 87.8 percent of capacity last week.

Traders had been watching that number, and gasoline future prices fell sharply last week, when refinery activity jumped for first time in several weeks.

But Tuesday's refining news caused gasoline futures to spike more than 5 cents a gallon to $2.27, their highest price since last August, lessening the chances retail prices will fall anytime soon.

An EIA analyst, who forecast a high of $2.87 just two weeks ago, couldn't say if the agency's next forecast, due out May 8, will be revised higher, although it seems likely.

"Obviously, April is not progressing as we had hoped," said EIA economist Tancred Lidderdale. "We're continually humbled by the market."

American Idol Top Six - Decision Night

dig no comments

American idol – Idol Gives Back It was actually a good show – very heart-warming.

I always thought Carrie Underwood was a prick but she actually appeared touched by the little African kids.

Anyway…. Edna….. I aint mad that you got six kids, but why they look like they all like eight days apart and you only like 25? Seriously. And LOL @ the little African kids walkin it out….HA!

Ok so, the song Quincy Jones wrote had me jamming like it was Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long” or something. Had that caribbean feel to it, but I gotta say, the individual performances were a lot better than when they sang in unison.

I was impressed by Lil Sting. And what do ya know – he’s safe.

Ben Stiller is a gotdamn fool, you hear me? A FOOL. But Jack Black is ten times worse. That man needs medication. Other presenters/performers included Kelly Clarkson, Rascal Flats, Annie Lennox, Josh Grobin, and Celine Dion, who performed a duet with –get this – ELVIS! WTF?

I thought I was seeing things, but they had a holographic image of this dude on stage with her ass and he actually looked like he was there. I had to put the Paul down for a minute just to make sure I wasn’t drunk LOL.

So all night, Ryan Seacrest is talking about how we are about to see some shocking Idol results. Im thinking what the hell could be so shocking? Of the folks left – Jordin and Chris (white chocolate) neither of them going home would exactly send America into a tailspin, but then I got to thinking. A tie. And sure enough, there was a tie. Jordin and Chris were BOTH safe and nobody went home.

I think they just did that because they wanted a “bye” week, given the sentimental nature of tonight’s show. I aint mad. I woulda had an attitude if either of them were sent packing, so its all good.

The footage they showed was kinda deep though. The conditions over in Africa – in the places they visited – are horrible. Even some of the conditions they showed in America were just…. Damn. Don’t ever take for granted the shit that you have, even if it aint much. There are a whole lotta people out here doing a lot worse than you.

Im just sayin.

American Idol Top Six

April 25, 2007 dig no comments

American Idol. Its, inspiration night, so everyone is singing songs of inspiration and upliftment. (Is that a word? Well it is now, LOL. We gon throw that up in the Dig-tionary).

White Chocolate…. Mm mm mm. I love that boy, but I must say sometimes that falsetto makes me nervous. More accurately stated, his transition to the falsetto makes me nervous. You have to know his singing style to know he aint cracking, but I was on the phone during his judging, so I don’t even know what the panel had to say about that.

Melinda saing a Faith Hill song and boy did she sing it. But Ima say it one mo gain, America – EARRINGS! PLEASE! Ima have to email the show and request it cause she killin me. Paula: “You were just…..magical!” Do better, Paula. Do better.

Baby Sting – uh, I mean Blake – did good with John Lennon’s “Imagine” but that’s the kind of song you really cant do much with. Its dull and its gotta stay that way – but is that really the kinda song you wanna sing in a competition where you are supposed to be showcasing your vocals? Hmmm… might wanna think about that one Blake. Still, he performed it well – well, JUST like John Lennon LOL – so I wont complain.

Lakisha, Lakisha, Lakisha. KiKi, you might be going home tomorrow girl. It aint that she didn’t perform well, but she sang Fantasia’s “I Believe” and Im sorry but Fantasia is now among the ranks of Mariah and Whitney and Chaka (per Paula) where you don’t wanna attempt one of their songs because the original is so amazing. She didn’t hold a candle to the Fantasia version, and when you are singing a well-known song, you gotta light that shit up. If she don’t go home, she at least gon be in the bottom three. I’d bet a case on that.

Phil did a great job. Loved it. But he always does his thing to me.

Jordin….. watch what I tell yall. That girl gon win. I didn’t love the song she sang but she belted it out. It was too slow in my opinion, she couldn’t even walk the stage right trying to sing it, but the judges love her, the white people love her and that to me says American Idol.

Bottom three? My predictions: Lakisha, Chris and Blake, Tune in to Fox tonight at 9/8 Central and see.

From what I can gather from the statement, it relates to radio and TV. Not about censoring the actual albums.(As far as I can tell anywayz)
