But yea, it is true. I have endless stories about growing up in the hood, ehbody's family is poor, but you see all these kids running around in new J's, have all the latest genesis games and shit like that.<br /> <br /> It blew my mind though, cuz my moms couldn't bring herself to drop $30, let alone $100+ on a pair of shoes. The whole time I'm looking at it like "we're all poor"....but dudes around me didn't see it. They thought they were on some kind of higher level. <br /> <br /> Point is that that Jim Crow shit still works like a charm today. Point is that that Jim Crow shit still works like a charm today. Tell one class of blacks they’re better than another, kick back, put that shit on auto-pilot, and watch us fight over it.

This is why I don't like blaming white people for shit. We may not have the power that whites and Jews have but we have a lot more power than we think. Our priorities are just fucked up. You got dudes like JayZ,Nelly, and Usher buying MINORITY shares of professional sports franchises but why can't these very successful black man ban together and buy THEIR OWN franchise. But we always want to one up each other instead of banding together. We segregate ourselves from skin shade,to hair length, to body type,financial status, rag colors, block numbers, afro-american, carribbean american etc... instead of seeing the most visible thing we have in common...
