    GTFOH!! See this is why parents need to really listen closely to what their children are listening to. I had to explain this to one of my daughters friends, she came over to watch videos and wanted to see Janet Jackson So Excited and I told her no, Morgan doesn’t listen to that kind of music, but feel free to pop in some Cheetah Girls or some damn Hillary Duff. We need to stop letting our kids listen to this grown up music disguised as kid-friendly music. We are doing nothing more than helping them become brainwashed which can/will turn them into little simmering sexpots. I wish the fuck I would let Morgan listen to these clowns…

    What’s crazy is that my father wouldnt ler me watch videos. r-rated movies or any of those things cause he didnt want to "corrupt me". I used to get mad and shit but now I see what good parenting does…Fast Foward 15 years later and sisters have cable in their rooms, internet access, etc…My sisters dont watch any rated r movies and they have all the good movie channels, the oldest barely listens to any rap with cussing..(lil TIP every now and then) cause they know if my dad or my step mother ever caught them listening or watching that garbage they will not only get all that stuff taken from them they will catch the beating of their life…

    Shit when you got mamas that’s 25 and they child like 12..the children gon end up listening to trash like that!

    I trip off all the baby clothes that they sell in the hood stores, they tryin to make the kids fast before they even know their ABCs…

    Well I don’t think you can put it totally on young mothers…I’m 27, my daughter is 10. I think its just a matter of how you were raised and what you want for your children. I know I don’t want my daughter to aspire to being a video vixen or somebody’s baby mama…but at the same time you can’t "shield" them either…you have to keep it real with the kids of today…
    @Naj
    Yes, it makes me sick to see 8-12 year old girls walking around with pants with writing smack dab across the ass that say "juicy" or "bad girl" or whatever…people should not be focusing on the asses of children!! There is a market out there designed to turn the youth of today into little simmering sexpots, we as parents have to be on the j-o-b…thats all…

    Why in the hell do an 11 year old have on thongs….shit I didnt start really wearing thongs till I was like 18…WTF…

    I see lil girls in the nail shop getting they nails done..fucking up they nails at a young age…then when they get older they aint gon be able to grow they own shit…It just outlandish how fucked up shit is…

    lets talk about you and me
    lets talk about bubbles in the tub’
    lets talk about makin love…

    That song is all over the radio. Ultimately its up to parents to regulate what type of shit their kids are listning to. But real talk.. T.V. ain’t no better when you got homos kissing on daytime t.v. etc.
    This is the world we live in today. Even if you bar them from listening to it, you don’t know what they are doing at school when you are away from them etc…
    I know that these dudes got a "B2K" type deal gong on where on of their fathers is the one behind their image and song content etc. I am pretty sure these lil niggas got mamas that hear that shit but oh no my brother… its all about the power of that dollar.

    But some ain’t good enough. You might not fall into that category but the combination of the breakdown of the "black family" along with mothers getting younger and just the way media portrays women, its a bad combination so another young mother may not have the ability to do what you did.

    Yeap….I truly believe the main reason black people all of this fuckery going on in our family is the lack of the "black family"…I respect the mothers that raise thier children by themselves, but no matter what one may think they can NEVER take the place of what a father brings to a child…I dont care if your child grows up and becomes the next president..they still gon have issues because of their absentee dad or vice versa…That’s why God meant for it be a father and a mother..a child needs both…

    absolutely..their children are being raised by 106 & Park and what not…its sad…thats why you can’t shield your children from the bad in life, because it is all around them when you are not around them…you give them facts, lead by example and have faith in a higher power…

    I don’t think a child NEEDS both because there are plenty of instances where kids grow up in two parent households and don’t come along as well as we think they should. My moms didn’t play no games. She would beat the other kids on the block when she found them doing something wrong. West Indians beat and ask questions later. Of course there are some things that a kid might miss by not having a parent there but I didn’t miss out on anything as far as my pops was concerned. my moms taught me how to cook, clean, do my own laundry so I will never have to depend on a woman for any of that. Some dudes grow up in 2 parent households thinking its a woman place to cook and clean for example. But overall it all depends on the individual and environment.

    All physical possesions. Nothing can take away the love and affection I received from my mother as a child…she struggled, always worked two jobs but she generally loved and cared for us and we may not have had what we wanted, but we certainly had what we needed…I love to see her smile and cry when she talks about how proud she is of me and my sister and the women that we have become…i wouldn’t trade that for a father in my life who obviously didn’t care to be there…
